Black currant homemade marmalade is the best marmalade. My mother makes strawberry, apricot, peach, blue plum and blackcurrant marmalade every year, so the competition is hard but black currant wins all the time.
Blackcurrant for me. I love redcurrant jelly/sauce with lamb but I've not had whitecurrants.
Used to love ribena until they caved to the whole "let's force carcinogenic non-nutritive sweeteners into people to make more diabetics" legislation a few years ago. Not I buy blackcurrants and make my own cordial. I'll be getting a bush soon to grow my own.
I have all 3 and red is perfect for a sweet syrup that you drizzle over ice cream and pie. black is really good to bake into things. white is a bit bitter
I must confess that I've never made any jellies or jams in my life... I leave that to my dear Mother and wonderful Mother in Law!
Ironically we actually have both blackberry and blackcurrant bushes down in the lower part of our orchard, which is just left for "the two experts" to pick, and the rest for our wild birds.

I don't think I've ever had currants before. Only taste I got from one is like a rainbow gummy worm, but that's not real. lol
I am not sure if I have tried all 3 or if I have tried any 2 of the 3. I used to pick berries of neighbourhood bushes as a 5 year old in another city so I am not sure what type of berry I ate but it might have been a red currant and I've had black currant tea and I might have tried the yellow currant once or twice cause my parents used to buy novel fruits for sampling and taste testing from the grocers. I would say my favourite would be the middle white ones.
I don't think I've had these before...
but I would go with the whites one first and then black, red last
All three varieties are fine, but each has different qualities. My preference goes to white currant because its finer and delicate taste and parfume.
I’ve never actually had currants! Come to think of it, I don’t even know if I’ve even seen them in the stores here.
Black, they have intensive taste and fragrance. My favourite
Do you eat them
What else are you supposed to do with them? I occasionally make Blackcurrant jam
