I don't know maybe but probably not. I think though people on these kind of eating regimes probably aren't thinking of places like McDonald's and Burger King as the first places to go eat, as there are better food options available almost everywhere else these days.
I don't eat a keto or vegan diet, but I do eat very healthily, and I haven't been to a burger joint to eat in years, because I know they don't have anything I'm interested in eating.
Maybe as time goes on they will start to introduce more items as their market share drops in favour of healthier alternatives, but they would need to do a huge push on marketing to convince people to come to them over the other options.
The way I see it is McDonald's, Burger King, and the like are just not places that people who are concerned with their diet go to eat, and that is likely never to change.
if you are asking this as a thing going forward in america then all i can say it is about time you caught up with Europe on this... i have been veggie for 40 years and at the start it was almost impossible to find alternatives to meat on any menu but today its commonplace to have a full range of vegan options... i think america won't be too far behind on this in the more liberal areas at least
yeah I remember when I was completely vegan it was hard to find any decent stuff. I had to craft most things by hand and it got exhausting honestly. With Keto I still have to do that for pastas, pizzas, and some breads, but far less often. I can still cook up eggs and a burger on the fly. But when I'm out on the road or just feeling lazy I'd like to be able to actually order something off of door dash or w/e and have some half decent options available. Only thing I can even order is bunless burgers and that gets old...
shit food is cheaper to produce so the growers or producers block it... on the subject of no sugar, the producers of aspartame got it passed in the states that stevia which is totally from plants and cheap to grow, should be banned whilst the expensive chemical sweetners linked to cancer get shoved in everything

McDonald's has a full vegetarian menu here, but it's non-vegan since it has cheese inside the patties themselves.
They also offer 4 salads but only one of them is actually vegan, assuming you order it with the balsamic dressing specifically, since every other dressing is non-vegan.
As for keto, they shouldn't bother because keto bread is invariably just bad and I don't want it.
Just make a new dish that's keto/vegan by default, like an eggwich or a cobb salad, but if I'm going to a fast food place for a cobb salad, I may as well not go there.
In traditional restaurants, I think there are plenty of vegan and keto options there.
I've been on keto for the majority of these past 5 years and I never had an issue ordering.
I'm from Europe, we tend to have different specials here and the menus usually vary by country.
I'm not even sure if McDonald's offers salads in the states.
Definitely the more time and people adhere to these trends and "lifestyle choices". Doesn't mean it'll last, be popular or be any good flavor wise.
Yeah I'd just like to see them offered as options alongside normal options. For keto it's basically just add a different bread and maybe a no sugar added ketchup or no ketchup and it's Keto essentially. It would be nice if a group of people could go grab a bite together and not need to think twice about having options available to them.
It seems like a marketing opportunity that is being neglected. I would guess that the big restaurant chains have looked at that issue and decided it is not feasible.
Yeah, especially vegan. All keto people have to do is just remove the bun from their sandwich. They don’t necessarily need special menu options.
I seemed to only lose weight under the 20 carbs a day max. I was in vegan but my blood pressure spiked like crazy. And I was eating nothing processed, most chick peas. But i'm allergic to lots of plant foods. I can't eat nuts and even some fruits and seeds, and avocados too. Also when I went to 80 percent meat and mostly beef I vastly improved. I'm off all my meds but I used to be on 5. Beef is linked to improved mental health. It's also good for epilepsy. So mostly for me it's beef, bison, venison, lamb. Chicken and turkey are not even that healthy but we were told they were for years because fat was villianized
Any fake meat is garbage for you but other than that most places have at least one vegan or keto friendly option. I know people that order fast food burgers and get no bbq or ketchup then don't eat the bun.
Would you even want to? They’d probably be just as unhealthy.
The headquarters of these fast food companies would have to make the decisions to include healthier alternative.
Sure.
Probably.
