If its your first dinner date with someone, what are you likely to order?

Pretend its a restaurant that serves every type of cuisine. And pretend you are paying for your own meal (which you should be, both ladies and gentleman, in my opinion lol). But What would you order? I honestly just want to see who’s comfortable and will eat whatever. I’m definitely that female who is not comfortable eating much on the first few dates. I’d probably order a burger and fries but i’d just nibble at the same french fry the whole time we’re there. He’d likely laugh at me lol. I know my exes would be like “Are you gonna eat that?” And then they’d just eat my food along with their own. Like damn, i was gonna take that to go and chow down once I got home 🤣 #FeelFreeToList #WhatsForDinner

Im sorry y'all lol! Im just picky af 🤣 I’ve tried different cuisines but i only tend to like Lol yea i only like “American” cuisine and “fake” Italian (like olive garden) or “fake” mexican (like Taco bell). When i eat authentic stuff, it tastes different and i dont like it. When i see “real” tacos, im like why are they soft shell like burritos. First of all! White chicks iz da shiiyat 👩🏼.
So i am a chef, and i know restaurants that the majority would appreciate. Some delicious small appetizers like smoked duck, amazing soups, a veggie mix dish and then order food, i always recommend the ox cheek beef with red wine sauce dish, it is one of the most delicious meats i ever had. And after all that, a dessert! It's always a pass for me, i can eat that much but if my date wants, i would order for her, and a nice small ice cream cup for me. Of course i am paying, i am a gentleman and that is one of the many things i do. I always ask before i book, i give some options like lets say! A swedish homemade restaurant? An Austrian? Or French? If she says: you pick , so all three are perfect and i just pick one and it's done.

I’m the same and done eat much on first dates. I try to get food that’s easy to eat lol. I try not to order things like a burger or long grain pasta because I get embarrassed lol.


I went a couple of dates with this dude and he would eat a lot and he would eat super fast. Meanwhile I would be eating all slow cause I was shy. One time he scarfed his food down and I was actually eating in front of him this time. Then he stopped eating, put his food down, and just looked at me to talk. I had barely eaten my food, but stopped eating cause I was too embarrassed to eat while he watched me. He kept telling me to eat, but I just couldn’t do it while he wasn’t eating too lol.

Vegans don’t eat any dairy products or use any animal products. I’m a vegetarian so I still eat cheese, butter, sour cream.. stuff like that. The vegan meat patty is a plant based patty that is supposed to resemble real meat, I don’t remember what real meat taste like at all but I love those plant based patties. They’re really thick and juicy and I love the texture. It’s better than a regular veggie patty (they’re kinda dry)

I'd steer away from food I'd pick up so no burger, ribs, pizza, etc. I'd also avoid my normal option of copious so no mixed grill, sharing platter or similar massive meal.

This leaves meat, pie or some such. Depends on what is on the menu and how I feel at the time. I'm not one for planning what I'm going to eat. I've even been known to have a salad if it sounds tasty.

Starter and main is my preference and I've been known to have starter or side as a dessert but I'd gauge my company and follow my instincts. I don't want to scare her off too early :)

Not a huge fan of vinaigrette and there are many dressings available. I probably wouldn't order salad, just saying I've been known to chose it at a restaurant so anything could happen. I'd avoid powerful flavours like a blue cheese sauce or garlic bread but this would depend on her order. The richer food she orders, the less I'd worry about flavoursome breath.

On the other hand, if it is a first date, I wouldn't go for a kiss.

But given how Northeast is ignored in India itself, I don't suppose anyone knows about northeast let alone their cuisines.

The cuisines are meat dominated, mostly pork, fish, beef and ducks. Very less or no spices at all. Pungent flavours with a variety of side dishes and dips. Strong and flavorful local homemade beer goes along very well with the food.

I am extremely picky so i eat what im used to. I like burgers, fries, pizza, spaghetti, lasagna, tacos, chili, meatloaf, shrimp, and i think thats about it. But my burger has to be well done and only topped with cheese. my pizza can only have pepperoni/ham. My spaghetti can only have meat with traditional sauce (no noticeable tomatoes). My lasagna can't have that awful ricotta. My tacos are to only have meat and corn and it can't be authentic mexican food cause i dont like that lmao. And so on. Im very picky. Lol definitely not. Good Chinese food is a little sweet, some along costal cities tend to do fish, crawfish, and chicken. Granted further inland it goes from normal to weird to disturbing. The local one i go to has chicken, pork, shrimp, and beef options for meat. But there eggdrop soup tastes like chicken noodle soup, their crab rangoons are creamy & flavorful, the eggrolls are always satisfying & tasty, and the owner is a sweet old Chinese woman.
