I've always eaten them. I'm going to ask my mum but I don't think she ever cut them off. I never asked and she never gave it as an option.
I do think it's ridiculous. The bread tastes pretty much the same (a bit differently if it has seeds, etc., but not enough to make it radically different), and in fact the slight texture difference is a benefit in my opinion. I don't like things too soft, I like texture differences.
I know an adult, friend of a friend, who never ate crusts as a kid, still doesn't, and cuts them off for his young daughter now. And she will probably pass on the same to her children.
the crust was and still is my favorite part… even on pizza, I’d rather eat the crust than the middle part lol
I always ate the crusts. There were kids at my school whose moms would cut the crusts off their sandwiches. I never knew why they did that. The crust is tasty.
I don't understand it wither, such a waste
Of course it is part of the bread
you are my god damn hero

I think, for a very short time, I MIGHT'VE been like that or, maybe I'm just remembering that it was one of my siblings that did it as if it was me but I KNOW one of us did it. I kinda doubt I ever did because I tend to like the darker, over-cooked/baked stuff, it has more flavour to it and I don't remember mom cutting the crust off my sandwiches she made me for school lunch, nor do I recall refusing to eat them. IF I did, it was only for a few months.
Yes, I liked the crusts. I even liked the end slices.
I was so shocked when i found out that people throw these slices away 😨 ... I don't get it
I grew up in a relatively poor middle class family and we were not allowed to waste anything!
Being poor middle class is not it. Learning not to waste 👍 that is IT. I worked in kitchens and restaurants! Dear lord how much do people waste, it's insane
No, I didn't and now that I am older, I still take the crust off anything that has crust on it.
What is the reason?
@Jaximus-Lion I just don't like the texture or the taste of crust. When I am about to eat a stack of pancakes, I also cut off all the edges first. I do love pizza crust though.
Fascinating. I am a chef/cook and i see and hear new things weekly. Thanks for sharing
No, people that cut the crust should not be allowed to have opinions as adults.
Shots! Directly fired 🍞💥💥💥
I always hated the crust so when my mom made my sandwitch for school I always made sure she cut it off. My children are the exact same way, they don't like it.
No I used to get my grandparents to cut them off. My nan reluctant to do so the same with my mum but my grandfather loved to make me feel special.
He's the best.
Plus I didn't want curly hair!
I ate it and I always wanted the ends of the loaf. Don't really favor them as much today as I did as a kid. I liked liver as a kid, something was clearly different with my taste buds back then.
No. My mom would cut it off for me or I’d peel it off myself
Why?
Noted 👍.
I ate the crusts, but not the end pieces. I still dig the middle slices out of the loaf. 😈
Kept the crusts. Never considered having it worth the crust because it seems like it would have been wasting bits of food.
I am a picky eater, but the crust tastes good. So I eat it.
I did. I didn't feel good about wasting any food or parts of food.
In fact, if anybody removed the crusts off their sandwiches, I'd gather & save 'em for later on when I ride my bike to the park to feed the birds & squirrels.
Never minded that. I ate it with crust and still do.
I ate the crusts. Also peanut butter, honey and bananas is still one of my favorite sandwiches.
I don't eat sandwiches at all ( I don't like bread ) ... But I leave the sides on pizza and all other stuff.. I guess I'm that kind of person
When I was really young I didn’t like eating the crust but now I don’t even cut the sandwich in half
Absolutely, and still do to this very day.
I always did. Still do.
I still don’t eat the crust 🤮
