Am I an hypocrite for being Vegetarian?

I have decided to become vegetarian (I love animals but I did it mainly for environment issues). The thing is, my boyfriend of 5 years has been investing in his own business of goat meat. I don't know the specific English explanation but basically he has a small herd of goats and he whats to grow the number of goats and then sell them (and who ever buys them will kill them for meat). He grew up doing that, helping his grandfather and I know that he loves to do it, and now he's just trying do something that he loves and is good at (and it makes me happy that he's happy). In my head, my decition of being vegetarian is separated from his decision of having this job, but sometimes I still feel an hypocrite for this, because indirectly I'm still profiting from this business.

Tons of animals still die from planting and harvesting crops. It is equally horrible for the environment. You have to destroy natural habitat, produce chemicals and transport the seeds and chemicals. Unless you have a greenhouse or garden it isn't helping anything.

How does eating plants help the environment? Wouldn't eating animals help the environment more?

If you don't know how meat production affects the environment then you should just be quiet. The question wasn't even about that. You are nothing but an ignorant.

Animals breathe in Oxygen and exhale CO2; plants breathe in CO2 and exhale oxygen. Eat the problem not the solution to global warming. If you don't know that maybe you are the ignorant person.
