I first ate there in the mid-80s, when they were only in southern California, and in fact, I had some T-shirts from there that said "Southern California" and would get knowing looks from people, and sometimes even conversations with people, who knew In-'N'-Out.
But we've had them in the Bay Area for 25 years already, and my niece worked for them for several years in high school. There's still a long (but reasonably fast-moving) line at the Drive-Thru at every location during all hours of operation, so you know they're good. One location near me just had to reconfigure the line, because it was regularly wrapping all the way around a block and extending into traffic on a major street.
Back in the 80s, it was pretty common to see In-N-Out bumper stickers on cars - especially in the LA area but quite a few in the Bay Area too - that had been modified by chopping off the B and R in "burger":

It was one of the things I was hella excited to try when I visited Cali because it's such a hyped up chain. And it sucked! Everything was disgusting, even the milkshake. The level of disappointment was real.
Uh oh, this madman can ask four questions per day now, someone get a restraining order!
As for In N Out, I've been there before and it was... food... ish. We were driving through Arizona to get to California, so it was a stop with something to eat.
But speaking of places to eat, have you ever been to a pizza place called Organ Stop Pizza in Mesa, Arizona?
i have not
i was gonna say it looked nice but now im not sure if it would taste nice reading other opinions
not been
Its good. Trust me
It's not bad, but if you are expecting something epic you will be disappointed. It's just basic; the fries are made of potato, the burgers are meat in between buns with lettuce, onion, and tomato. Cheeseburgers are just burgers with cheese. It's not like some burger joints where they are amazing and fancy. It's simple. And good.
Yes. It’s ok. Not really worth the looooooong lines. If I drive by and time it right I might grab some.
yeah they are always crowded. usually the early morning right when they open or late at night on week nights before closing
I’ve seen the drive-through empty at 11:30am, and blocking traffic on the main roads at closing. Never know. We have three. They are all like this.
I don't know about this one but the convenience store near the petrol station near my home is named InOut lol
Not as good me thinks 🤔
Yep, yet another “Not in Florida” fast food restaurant.
Brace yourself for more of these muahahaaa
Uh oh, don’t be insulted if I ignore them… no point in writing “Not this one either” over and over.
I am insulted 😤
Of course not lol 😂
Oh lord, I know you’re not. 😘
I cannot say enough great things about In-N-Out! 100% family owned; 100% fresh food made to order. best pay and benefits, Taste fantastic and at a great price! Very clean restaurant inside out.
The more I see these questions the more I get surprised Lol
No, I've never heard of this fast food chain.
I have heard of it yes, but not eaten there. Again while I'm not big on fast food I've heard good things about it and wouldn't mind trying it one day.
I heard there was one in North Hollywood near Radford
www.tripadvisor.com/...Los_Angeles_California.html
maybe this one?
Yes! I picked up a burger and fries from there the other day. Love it!
eh it's decent i suppose. i'm personally not much of a meat person, but it's not bad overall.
Never heard of it but "N out" sounds kinda racist to me.
I leave across the street from an In and Out in Vegas it stays packed at there once most overrated Burger I've ever had
I've heard of them, but when I was in California, I never had one- not on the tour itinerary.
Good burgers I can't remember how the French fries are
Somehow i heard about it, i think from a youtube video. But since i live in Europe i never went there. The food looks tasty.
I’ve heard of it and ate there. Burgers and milkshakes are good. There’s one like about 5 minutes from the high school I went to
Yep. Go there frequently. Used to work with the grand-nephew of the founder.
It’s pretty good. The burgers are good. They could work on the fries a bit more though.
Yes that's a cali thing. Just like whataburger is a Texas thing. And what is it white castle? That's an Eastern thing if I'm correct
I've heard of In N Out but I've never eaten there.
if you ever visit cali i definitely recommend it!
Hands down Beats the shit out of McDonalds.
But, at the end of the day. It's still just a fast food joint.
Their fries are so damn bland 🥺
I stopped with the fries a long time ago. Just double double protein style, animal style.
Heard of it but I don't think we have one here
I've never had In n out but i have heard of it

Never had that, but, it was mentioned that night... I do get my burgers *isn't called *jungle style*? where the onions are grilled.

I like how I can smell their food.. from afar.. while on the road...
I have heard of it. Never eaten there though.
