What do you do when it's too hard and you know it's going to tear a hole?

We've all been there, you're ready to spread and enjoy the creamy salty goodness but it's rock hard. Obviously you don't want it soft but this is too hard to handle and you feel its going to tear a big hole.

So when you want to spread your butter but it's too hard, what do you do?

Well if it's still wrapped up I will just hold it in my hand and squeeze gently that way the heat from my hand worms it up a little but you don't want to get into soft some people like it hard as a matter of fact I've heard girls say if it ain't hard it ain't worth a fuck I'm going to get a t-shirt made like that lunch how do you know what kind of better to put on it though

Well here its really easy , unlike the UK ( generally ) , you only have to leave nid noy ( little bit ) and it will quickly be easily spread , did it this morning , nothing worse than busting a hole , due to the rigid nature of the product.
In Aus , it differs state to state and season to season.

Cut a chunk off the butter stick and put it in the microwave for 15 seconds. That will soften it up.

We leave it out on the counter and use it as needed.
We go through lots of butter so it's used up quickly and never goes bad.
