A question of beef: are you okay with eating cloned?

I was reading that currently 1/3 of all need production today in the USA is from cloned beef. Are you okay with consuming cloned beef and do you feel that consumers have a right to know by having packages labeled as "cloned" so they can make a clearer decision?

Not my 1st choice. The food industry has a history of selling stuff that is bad for your health and the government doesn't do/say anything. Like artificial sugars for example. So I wouldn't trust the producer to be honest about health risks. But even worse are the lab grown meats. I'll try it after somebody's been eating it for 30-40 years.

Re update: Many years ago I was texting my girlfriend on an iPhone and it switched her name to the name of a random woman from my contact list who I hadn't talked to in years. Imagine writing, "hey amy, great time last night" and it sends "hey susan, great time last night" -- After that I stopped writing names in text messages.

Yeah I hate it. My uncle was involved in the tech for cloning and the procedure for cloning animals. I still am not a fan of it but he and the other scientists all consumed the meat first hand before endorsement. Even so it's an affront to my own principles.

I wouldn't want to eat it no. In the UK only food products from clone offspring are allowed, even then most supermarkets and all major ones won't carry it. Anything like that should be labelled, but even Halal meat doesn't have to be labeled in the UK, and people buy it unknowingly everyday.

Many Hala meats also profit terrorist organizations, sadly. I believe I read that al Qaeda or the Taliban profits in chicken sales.

I used to think it was just my opinion that was different.. but I’m slowly discovering that I should be living on another planet, as I’m so oddly far apart from others thoughts and feelings.

I feel like there's a lot more of us out there who feel this way than you think. But social media and search engines block us out.

This world has plenty of food, water and resources to go around. Yet people go hungry and live in deplorable conditions all because the elite feast of the control.

It’s insane, cause we are told that industrial farming, animal abuse and spraying pesticides onto crops are essential for our survival. When we have so much food available we could probably feed two planets.

Most of us aren't willing to go through the trouble of basically homesteading or harvesting ourselves though

If everyone with a small garden, grew their own vegetables we would all be healthier, happier and richer. I hope people start to see sense.

But that wouldn't help the elderly, sick, disabled. Not to mention the people who work one or multiple jobs with kids. Its not for everyone

There’s always going to be those who unfortunately do not qualify. But if there was a culture shift in being more self-sufficient. It would definitely help vast amounts of people, and save many lives. Have a goodnight, miss England needs to recharge for the next day🙋🏻‍♀️✌️

What's the difference between the meat of a cloned beef and an original one?
Here in my country we don't even have the cloning technology but i'd like to know if it makes any difference, i'm aware of animal cloning since a long time and the 1st successful cloned sheep named dolly!

No I am not OK eating cloned beef. That is why I buy my meat direct from my local farmers who raise their stock free range, It costs slightly more than what is sold in Supermarket but it tastes a lot better.

Yes, info would be nice. I can't really think of the last time I ate beef, but I only buy organic beef. I suppose cloned can be considered organic. Is it also non GMO?

It can be either because they keep cloning the same cows over and over again. It comes down to feed honestly
