What is the most recent food/drink that you tried for the first time? How was it?

I tried chicken shawarma for the first time few days ago... i loved the bread they made in... and sauce was good too... just red chilli was a little too much otherwise it was good...8/10 id say... and im sharing google image just incase anyone does not know what it is

It's been a good while since I've tried anything new. I've sort of exhausted most of the exotic food options in my vicinity as far as restaurants go although I have a bunch of todos as far as home cooking.

I think the last thing I tried that was a bit exotic for me was century eggs in Taiwan:

... I think it's quite an acquired taste! I didn't like it very much. The texture of the egg whites becomes like pure and salty gelatin/aspic. The egg yolk still tastes similar to fresh egg yolk but with a creamier consistency. I liked the yolk at least a lot better than the whites.

I doubt anyone who hasn't grown up with it or tried it a number of times would like it so much. The jelly texture is pretty hardcore. I think I grow to like it if I tried it like 10 more times... although I don't wanna! :-D

peanut butter jelly sandwich... and it was as yucky as I always thought the combination would be, for me, of course... I'm just fussy

I tried lobster dipped in cooked butter cause usually we eat cook our lobster and our butter separately and than mix together and I also tried home made coffee yogurt by mixing instant coffee powder with yogurt. It tasted bad but I liked it.

I've had so much sea food I can't stand it anymore. I have a free lobstermen in my family so I've always had easy access to lobster. Now I only have scallops once in awhile. They are so good. Better wrapped in bacon

Yes, Thailand against Malaysia. Lots of spillover into HatYai.-FOOD is really good.
