Chocolate pastry was the first thing that came to my mind before thinking of Chocolate brownie with some ice cream and then Carrot halwa came to my mind, but my favourite dessert is something else, though.😛

All of the above! The first thing that came to mind when I read this question was port. I'm not sure why because I haven't had port in a decade.

I think cake and ice cream are what I see most often on menus, like a hot fudge sundae. I don't like either very much but it's the image I get most immediately when I think of dessert, like so:

Or a banana split sundae. That's actually very rare in Japan but seems to be a classic favorite in the US. I have a sort of cartoon image of it in my mind which pops up when I think of American desserts:

@Cherry234 I think when I was a child, I was exposed a lot to the cartoon image of the hot fudge sundae... maybe in some video games or cartoons or signs at stores along with pictures in menus. It's kind of imprinted in my head as "the" dessert. It's also one of my wife's favorites.
