At the current restaurant I work at, business has been going down to the point we're dead af. The waitress even said it wasn't even this low at COVID. We didn't even break $1000 in sales yesterday..

其实，对于普通大众的顾客来说，经常光顾的小中餐厅并不需要有什么特别之处。站在顾客的角度想想自己，想不到吃什么的时候最后选择的店大多是比较平常的家常菜店、麻辣烫店、面馆，这些店的共同特点，不说他们的口味有any和其他店很不一样的特点，但是他们的口味稳定，价格实惠，可选菜品足够经典，环境适合快餐，真的很想做一家很特别的店，顾客消费的频率是比较低的，那些够日常、够亲民的小店就是聚集回头客的场景。为什么三个月后客户突然不来了，这一定不是一个很突然的变化，而是新客户体验慢慢全部流失的结果。可以从多方面思考店铺是否有问题。1、是否同样的价格，给的食物量越来越少？产品是否让客户感到越来越买不起？还是菜品的定价与周边同行差距比较明显？很多老板在创业之初的时候给的金额都非常足，然后有点偷工减料，客户觉得失望，自然不会再来了。2、菜量和菜价定得少是否合理？比如有的店会出现，一些人气菜价高的同事也给多量这样的攻略，比如我经常去吃新疆菜餐厅定价在90多块大盘鸡，一旦点了一大盘鸡就不能点其他肉菜了，否则消费太高，浪费了情况，所以我去新疆菜馆的时候经常觉得点大盘鸡肉和其他肉菜很难考虑，这造成了我选择的困难我来这家新疆菜馆的频率已经慢慢减少了，因为搭配它的单菜。一旦有其他大盘鸡定价比较低，让同事可以兼顾新疆餐厅的各种荤菜，我可能不会再去以前的店了。3、菜肴味道是否不稳定？很多客户都有这样的经历，一个新店刚开始去的时候还是很好的，好吃又便宜，慢慢的尝尝不好一次就不好了，让人无法理解，最终顾客也不会再去这家店了。随着生意慢慢变得繁忙，很多门店会出现品控难以保证的情况，每天不知道大量食材的质量，不知道每天如何送出大量好菜品的味道最后，这样的情况需要经常收集客户的反馈来理解。4、是否店内菜品太少，缺少经典菜品？有的店家菜单上的菜品太少，或者太追求特色菜而忽略了一些经典搭配。毕竟，顾客最常点的是一些经典菜肴，即使特色菜很吸引人，不太可能经常吃，如果一家店不能容纳一些顾客确定不踩经典菜肴，顾客就不太可能回头。5、店铺的服务体验是否有所下降？在生意兴隆的同时，服务质量普遍会下降，很多老板都不会关注这个问题。比如店里顾客上来了，服务员反应不及时，客人吃完桌子后店里收拾起来很慢，店里的卫生也变差了。懂的老板一开始会做好人员储备和充足的培训，但是有些老板可能一开始就没有足够的人手来节省成本。试想一下，顾客在一家刚火爆的店里营业，半天都找不到干净的座位，或者订了很久都不上，这些场景会让不知情的顾客炸毛，决定再也不回来这家店了。毕竟也是中小型餐厅，街边各式各样的餐厅，顾客更喜欢选择让自己感觉轻松舒适的一家。其实顾客对小中餐厅的要求真的不高，作为餐厅的老板，还是需要多站在顾客的角度去想顾客需要什么，要么是新奇的特色，要么是实惠、稳定小餐馆的味道，如果生意变了其实不用着急，用心做好品质和服务，调整细节给顾客体验，老顾客慢慢积累，最终会好起来的 也是一家中小型餐厅，街边各式各样的餐厅，顾客更喜欢选择让自己感觉轻松舒适的一家。其实顾客对小中餐厅的要求真的不高，作为餐厅的老板，还是需要多站在顾客的角度去想顾客需要什么，要么是新奇的特色，要么是实惠、稳定小餐馆的味道，如果生意变了其实不用着急，用心做好品质和服务，调整细节给顾客体验，老顾客慢慢积累，最终会好起来的 也是一家中小型餐厅，街边各式各样的餐厅，顾客更喜欢选择让自己感觉轻松舒适的一家。其实顾客对小中餐厅的要求真的不高，作为餐厅的老板，还是需要多站在顾客的角度去想顾客需要什么，要么是新奇的特色，要么是实惠、稳定小餐馆的味道，如果生意变了其实不用着急，用心做好品质和服务，调整细节给顾客体验，老顾客慢慢积累，最终会好起来的

I think take out places still have customers so you need name recognition or social multiplication to stay in business meaning you should start email chains or do Facebook advertising or photography competitions

restaurants are one of those business that there is a lot more than they are needed, also... there is a lot of places that keep running on loans and acquired debt, so they are a terrible business in the first place

so I think that, "bad" restaurants are going to just fall, COVID or not, and it will not be the customers's fault... it's just that a restaurant in the USA is a difficult beast to tame

The restaurant your working at is dying out for sure. Restaurants are such a competitive market that if you're not one of the best in terms of taste, ambience and marketing, you're not going to make it. If anything, there are too many options. Restaurants are always going to be around unless there's some massive revolution of some sort.

I think so, other than for the social interactions with some by just going out, dining out is dying out. I mean the quality of the food sucks more times than not, and it so expense then you have to tip someone for food you could made better at home and service you could of done yourself.

Casual dining has been greatly hurt by the rise in gas and food prices as well as housing inflation. It’s also a flashing sign of recession.

We used to dive pout once a week, but the bill has tripled so we stopped.

Yes, I got takeout from our favotite place and it was not triple but it was usually less than 30 bucks and now it was almost 50.

It is crazy. Some of it is because of Covid. Restaurants had to put up plexiglass and other barriers at a great cost that must be passed along to the customers. Then the price of food has gone up a lot and so has the cost of labor.
A lot of places have closed during the pandemic and he ones that are still open can raise their prices because of the limited choices people have.
