Is The US Restaurant Industry Dead And What Killed It?

For me it seems restaurants are charging too much for sub par food that tastes like frozen cisco food they microwaved it. Then waiting staff expect 25% tips, often have bad manners and often give bad service. Overpriced drinks. Been to restaurants that charge $7 for a tiny tub of microwaved peppered sauce that should be included in the meal. Just much cheaper to cook at home and more convenient, less stressful. If you've ever been to a restaurant on valentines day, not very romantic.
