+1 yYes. I have gone days and even weeks without food. Several times as a little kid I almost died from lack of food when my grandfather's crops were destroyed, hunting was unsuccessful and we could not afford to buy food. That and an encounter with a stray starving cat where I gave her food and she was grateful for the rest of her life for it. These experiences made me decide that I will NEVER let someone go hungry if it is in my power to give them food. There have been times when I bought myself a meal only to surrender it to someone in need since I was fortunate enough that missing one meal would not hurt me. I cannot bring myself to say no to someone, human or animal, asking for food.

Nope. F*ck that.
Even with the love of my life, we never shared food. She was an expert cook, too. But I never shared my food with her, and rightfully, she never shared hers with mine. Besides maybe one bite or so, to taste it.21 Reply
+1 yMy culture is very much a "show you care through food" one. Sharing food is a very positive thing for us - feeding others is affection, respect, and just a good thing.
Plus where I live is pretty nice and we're very diverse so sharing food is a great way to experience new cultures and make friends.
For me, I'm pretty much always willing to share food. I'll be protective of shrimp dim sum and bubble tea, tho. I have a hard time sharing those, unless someone's never tried it - then I must get a second order and share, so they're enlightened to the amazing flavours, lol!10 Reply
+1 yYes, of course. Whenever we order take out, we order a few different dishes so that we could all taste a variety of food and save some money.
My dad does prefers homecooked meals, so he does not order out much. My mum and I usually split food when we order take-outs.
I will never share ice-cream or any other sweets though! (yes, I have a sweet tooth XD)12 Reply- +1 y

+1 yYes, I often share with my partner or family. If we go out to dinner, a lot of times we will order two different dishes we both like and split it. That way, we each get to try two things, instead of one.
I have always share with my sister. Never been an issue. I would draw the line at people I do not know.13 Reply- +1 y
@aided_ I know that glare all too well. If I take my sister's last of whatever she is having, that is the look I get.

+1 yNO, I hate sharing my food.
I feel sorry for anyone that wants to date me because I will happily eat his food, but will I share mine? LOL, nope. I blame being the youngest child-
Especially most of my healthy food (ie: protein bars, protein shakes). That crap is expensive! I wish I would let someone else get that without a damn good reason.10 Reply - 461 opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic.
+1 yentirely depends on the context. if the setting is: hey let's all get different foods so we can have a big varity of different tastes, then i'm cool. but if the setting is: i get my food, they get theirs, i don't like sharing except for just letting them taste my food.

Or with those hungry and have nothing to eat...
Not so much with friends and family besides giving them a "TASTE" ... If I'm at home or in a restaurant.. they have their own food.22 Reply863 opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic. I will only share food with my kids. Everyone else can fuck off

+1 yI'll share with my parents off a different utensil. Not to be gross, but when you're intimate with your girlfriend, why is sharing food too far if you put your mouth on her in other places? If it's my friends, I'll buy you something

+1 yDepends on who it is and what the food is. If it's a tasty one then I will feed it to my crush but never give it to my sister. If it's a weird one then "Sissy do you want some?"

+1 yI guess it depends on the situation, are they starving? Or is it just somebody walking up saying hey give me some of that? I would share with friends and family. If somebody's homeless and hungry, I'm going to feed them

Me and a close buddy of mine used to make a game out of trying to steal each other’s food without the other knowing whenever we are out.10 ReplyI'm a bit of a mix I guess? I can share food with family and friends but most of the time, I don't really like sharing food
