I maintain a well-stocked home bar...

... and feel that serving a drink in the proper glass is important.
I drink a lot of bourbon, so I have a large number of lowball glasses-

... but for drinking fine single malt, actual whisky glasses (shown center on lower shelf) are vital.
I prefer pouring fresh tea into cool ceramic. It brings the temp down nicely.
I'd say the right glassware can really uplift a drink. I collect handmade ceramic cups too, it's it's relaxing to ponder the imperfections as you drink.
Pottery is such a cool hobby! We received some handmade mugs from a friend of a friend of a friend I think. I like the tip on cooling down Tea

I think it adds to the experience, especially if it's a night out at a fancy restaurant. Having said that, I have no trouble drinking wine from a plastic glass.
Agreed! We have a variety of beer and beautiful glassware at our home, most of it has been gifts. We do use it, but I’m always afraid it’s going to get broken.
We just don’t drink very often, so it’s not like we’re using them every day. I’d like to think that some of it will be passed on to our children. We have some scotch glasses that I believe are from your side of the pond that were a gift to my parents when they got married 46 or 47 years ago.
We use them all, it’s just that we don’t have occasions to frequently use them. I think we use the special scotch glasses once a year on our wedding anniversary. Aside from that we have some other really cool beer glasses and whiskey sipping glasses as my husband calls them.
Mason jars for drinks.
Coffee mugs (not cups) for coffee.
22 oz stein (frosted) for beer or cider.
Couldn't care less honestly. I drink Whiskey out of my coffee mug, same with my wine and rum.

Thanks eagle! I could use a good laugh today
I figured it was supposed to be the word “don’t”. One use is even funnier!
It's not. I don't care
