I drink a lot of bourbon, so I have a large number of lowball glasses-... but for drinking fine single malt, actual whisky glasses (shown center on lower shelf) are vital.

I prefer pouring fresh tea into cool ceramic. It brings the temp down nicely.
I'd say the right glassware can really uplift a drink. I collect handmade ceramic cups too, it's it's relaxing to ponder the imperfections as you drink.

I think it adds to the experience, especially if it's a night out at a fancy restaurant. Having said that, I have no trouble drinking wine from a plastic glass.
Mason jars for drinks.
Coffee mugs (not cups) for coffee.
22 oz stein (frosted) for beer or cider.Couldn't care less honestly. I drink Whiskey out of my coffee mug, same with my wine and rum.
