This is one of those “not sure” kinda things! While obviously Hooters is not appropriate for all children, of all ages. Certainly a younger teen girl would not receive the best impression by showing her that she can just use her body / natural assets to earn a living. But also it would not be fair to take a younger teen boy who would likely feel uncomfortable at the spontaneous erections he would be getting there! I frequently read posts by men discussing how embarrassing spontaneous erections are, so I wouldn’t want to embarrass my own son like that. I suppose older children, say 16 and above, or much younger children (3, 4, 5, etc…). But between ages say 10 and 15, hooters might not be the most appropriate restaurant to take a child between those ages!

None around here at all, but the ones I've been too when travelling don't seem sexual at all, so not sure why it would be a problem.

Generally though I'm for not taking kids to restaurants, just cause so many parents inflict their children on everyone around them.

Places that are 18+ for eating are the best.

Like @Still-alive said, those restaurants ARE open during the day, maybe going for lunch when the “idiot” kids (as you put it) are still in school? by the way, less than 6yrs ago, THAT very waitress was an annoying 12/13yo “idiot kid” you know, when you were 43? Yeah that’s how creepy it is! Also as a 19yo who actually knows girls who’ve worked at hooters, they absolutely despise it when customers come on to them… especially middle age guy’s, some of whom actually take their wedding rings off thinking THAT was the reason they didn’t have a hope in hells chance of ‘banging’ a Hooter’s waitress! Believe me, no girl dreams of one day Fucking a guy who is as old or even older than her own father! Oh, they ACT like they love your flirtatious behavior, but that’s because they WORK FOR TIPS! Dude, just leave 20 something girls alone, and flirt with women in your own dusty old age bracket.

Very young kids (infants to pre-teens) generally aren't malicious-minded. The only thing impressionable to them inside a Hooters would be food and entertainment.
