Good morning happy Friday I honestly hope your morning and day is going better than mine!I was driving into work feeling good going on time nice pretty brand new dress on thinking everything is swell suddenly some a$$h0le cuts in front of me while I just happened to pick up my hot cup of coffee I slammed the brakes avoiding the accident but I am bathed from stomach to feet in coffee the interior of my car is a mess as well now I have to turn around and go home to clean everything up. I get home I quickly clean the interior of my car it will need a better cleaning later. Run into the house. I tossed in another cup of coffee into the microwave. I Strip my brand new dress toss it into the sink to give it a rinsing so it doesn't stain I jump into the shower with my underwear on just washing off the parts that got covered in coffee. As I get out of the shower I hear something go pop. I ignore the pop get dressed quickly go to get my coffee to discover the pop was my coffee exploding in the microwave apparently I pressed one too many numbers so now I clean out the coffee from the microwave and I'm making my third batch of coffee as I write this. I'm trying to get the heck out of here my work partners know I'm running late but now I'm just scattered. On edge hoping nothing else happens knock on wood. Can you guys relate and I truly hope your day goes far better And I'm hoping that the rest of my day goes better too lol Thanks GaG for being my shoulder to lean on

I drive for a living (London Taxi Driver) If you want me to beat that.. I can.. hopefully it will make you feel better too.
about a year ago, I left for work at 4.30 am. I got my first job in at 6am.. There was lady dressed in all yellow. She had fruit all over her head (on a hat that she wouldn't take off making my rear view vision impossible) The only thing she did was show me a piece of paper that said Shepherds Bush Green. I stick my radio on and drive her over to Shepherds Bush Green. When we arrive I ask her where about she wants.. She can't understand me, she can only speak in what I later found out was Afrikaans. This goes on for 20 minutes. A policeman comes over and he tries to get an interpreter over, she starts crying and eventually a police car turns up with an interpreter inside. She was crying because she has no money and the place she wanted wasn't anywhere NEAR there.. She wanted Stepney Green which is about 12 miles away ALL in traffic. The police told me they would driver her there and said if I wanted to prosecute her for hiring a taxi without the funds to. etc etc.. I didn't bother.. poor cow was in tears.. so we left it at that. I then drove back towards the West End where two young girls jumped in the cab and wanted Bermondsey.. When I get there, they jump out and run off without paying.
I then waited 45 minutes to finally get a job.. which turned out to be a decent one.. to Heathrow Airport Terminal 4. I get 100 yards up the road and the cab doesn't want to move.. I'm revving the engine and nothing.. They get out and get another cab.. I end up getting towed to the garage where it was out of action because of a damaged Torque Convertor (Apparently part of the gearbox) They wouldn't have it in stock for 3 weeks. So I had to then have to go hire a cab until they repaired it.. The whole day was wasted, it cost me a fortune in Diesel, a fortune to hire another cab, a fortune to pay for my one which wouldn't be repaired for 3 weeks and one day.. and the best part was? I didn't get paid for a single job I'd done!!!
It's ok though, I can laugh about it now. and if it makes you feel better? Great!!
She was crying in a strange country with barely anyone that could understand her, I didn't really have much of a choice. I can laugh about all that now anyway..
@Guardian45 It' the only attitude to take. My profession is considered one of the worst you can have for heart attacks. If I let those things get to me? Well the rest is obvious.
Once in my class I was about to drink a chocolate glucerna (yum!) for breakfast. I shook it, as you're supposed to do, without realizing I had already taken the lid off.

I keep a change of clothes for just such accidents. However that day the only change of clothes I had was a suit, which I normally wear only when I meet parents, or for open house, etc.
My students returned from morning recess to see me in my suit, with all sorts of oohs and ahhs. One theorized I had a secret rendezvous during recess. 😂
I can relate to being cut off, but not to having anything spill. My older brother can though, he got tired of being cut off so he built a custom grill guard for his truck and now when someone cuts him off he doesn't touch the brakes.
His truck has survived dozens of accidents, and dozens of cars have been totaled... and he has dash cam evidence so he never gets the ticket. In fact the other driver has to pay for any repairs his truck needs or their insurance.
Sure hoped those people learned to not cut off trucks, but I doubt it.
I did great on my morning drive. Sat in the coffee shop & drank my coffee there. I'm not sure how thee laws are where you live but up here. Drinking coffee while driving is considered distracted driving. Up to a $2000 fine & six demerit points if convicted.
I've had a few bad days when I woke up with the stomach flu my poor mom had to clean up after me I was like 10/11 years old... Then one time I fell on black ice it was Winter time and I hurt my hip and my dad made me go to school limping what a Son-Of-Bitch
Even if I slammed on the brakes my fully loaded truck would not have stopped fast enough to avoid hitting him, so I would not slam on the brakes causing my truck to swerve across lanes, hurting innocents. Just slow as I can and run over the bastard who caused it. I will be fine. My coffee will be intact. My clothes will be dry. No sweat.
You shouldn't be drinking coffee while driving. In some places, that's a violation subject to a fine and points on your license. Regardless, drinking (or eating) while driving is a distraction similar to texting... you shouldn't do it.
Ok quick run back home get undressed get in bed and come out on the other side get dressed smile get in the car turn on some music and start your day over

Mmmm that sounds so good coffee peanut butter chocolate shake that sounds really good you had to be very sticky that's happened to me a couple times what I really hate it is when you go to McDonald's drive-thru and they hand you your drink can you reach out to get it and as soon as you grab hold of the top pops off and soda goes everywhere are you barely get it in your car and it does it you're the worst
Yeah I'm serious I have gotten in bed before and got out on the other side and started my day all over I've had to LOL kind of funny but if it works the first time it will work the second time LOL at least it was a shake and it wasn't hot coffee
I would have just gone to work anyway. You used your female privilege today. Men don't have that option. They expect us to be at work, period, stain or no stain! Sure, you get laughed at all day, but you just have to grin and bear it and do your job.
Im not sure where you work but where I am we are supposed to look professional. It would not be acceptable and I would have been sent home to change regardless
Nah my my morning job is very much hands on In the front lines... Worst thing My D ink Had a touch of peanut butter and when working around such a mass munch it is dangerous to have peanut butter on ones clothes or skin... Someone can be allergic which is why I always have my coffee shake before going into work.
The time a poisonous snake emerged from the glove compartment and ate a spider on the windscreen that I didn't like the look of springs to mind. To cap it all, I was so startled / afraid that I needed new underwear.
So far I'm lucky; I work from home on Fridays. So my morning commute was walking about 20 seconds from my bedroom to my office. I managed NOT to spill anything! 😂👍
No for 2 reasons. 1. I don't drink and drive And 2. Because I'm usually the a**hole you're talking about. Cutting in front of you and slamming on his breaks.
