Because morality is a subjective concept, it would all be determined by how a person felt about it. And ethics are determined by what a large number of members of a species agree on. So, in the end, I believe it is inextricably linked to emotion. 👴
For example, we would not stop walking if scientists discovered that the earth screams at certain frequencies (our of our range) when things walk on it. We'd see it as a necessary sacrifice due to instinctually wanting to survive. As a result, we'd figure out a way to make it ethical because it appeals to our emotions.
So yes & no.

As long as you don't engage in overconsumption of meat and as long as you buy from family owned farms then it's fine. I'm a supporter of small farms and have lived on farms myself for a major portion of my life. Animals are treated ethically there.
The problem is with the cleanliness of it. I don't eat pork due to the risks of parasitic infections.
There's not a black or white answer, it depends on the persons moral. I was a vegan for around 4 years, I started eating meat, dairy and eggs again because my moral values about the topic changed and I put myself first, I consider that having to take supplements in a vegan lifestyle is proof that I should eat meat, dairy and eggs. It's sad? yeah, they're sentient. But I go first.
I find it unethical to kill animals in general.
Just feels wrong to me whether they are intelligent or not. All are deserving of life in my opinion.
I think it is unethical to kill something that doesn't want to die for your own 10 minutes of pleasure.
But I don't judge people who do eat meat, everyone's ethics are different and there's nothing wrong with that.

No problem here. Pigs are opportunists and, under the right circumstances, will eat human flesh.
If you have a heart attack and die inside of a pig pen, by the next day the police won't find a trace of you. What they will find are some well-fed pigs!
It's them or us... and I like bacon!have you ever wondered why americans support eating tons of pigs and cows but are against eating dogs and cats? At the end of the day, they are all animals
Nope.
in fact going to bite onto porky and Percy quite soon.
have some lovely sausage and bacon cooking at the moment, along with some yummy black pudding, all locally produced. At this point would it even be ethical not to eat pigs? One billion pigs are bred, fattened up, and slaughtered each year just to be eaten. If we suddenly stopped eating pigs, we'd just have a billion dead pigs 🤔
It is ethical to eat pigs according to society as a whole, but personally, I cannot say. I love bacon, though.
I don't even like bacon, and don't eat much ham, but I have no issue eating pigs. They're kinda mean anyway.
No, it isn't. You can choose not to eat it due to religion or personal preference, but by default it is not unethical.
Meat is about the only thing that pigs are good for. I would think twice about having a pig as a pet, they are cannibalaistic and are liable to eat you in your sleep.
In India yes it is gross to eat pig. For Muslims and Hindus also guess.
I have heard that pork is very unhealthy and contains lots of bacteria/viruses so I don't eat pork.
As long as you kill them quickly and peacefully without them seeing it coming yes. That goes for any animal. Also make sure they are clean of any disease before selling them to the market.
I don’t think so but I really don’t know enough to have a strong opinion
No more or less unethical as eating any other animal.
Well if it is, boy are the Chinese looking bad! Then again, they're running literal concentration camps for Uighers and I'm pretty sure THAT'S even more unethical so there's that.
It is unethical to eat animals in general. As it is only done out of pleasure, not even health.
As long as they aren't treated poorly while growing I don't have an issue with it.

I couldn’t eat that cute pig like that looking at it but I do like pig that Pig is like a pet
If it was unethical to eat pigs they wouldn't be so delicious. They're clearly intended to be food.
why would it? its meat. Is it unethical to eat deer? Cows? Fish?
No. It's only unethical if you think it is. I'm a human and I embrace my selfish nature.
