When I'm traveling, I'm normally on the move in the afternoons. Rather than spending time for lunch in a sit-down restaurant, I prefer to grab a bite from a local vender.
This guy sells fish sandwiches for a couple of bucks (and you get to see him cooking it)...
Or you can pay three times as much to sit down and eat what is essentially the same sandwich...

In general I prefer eating in restaurants so I can seat and use properly silverware and dishes but I appreciate a lot international ethnic street food when there are events here in my city. It’s a way to travel around the world without moving from here.
I don’t have access to street food most of the time but I like hot dogs just as much as Pizza Hut or chicken pad Thai or sushi.
I prefer to sit down in a restaurant, however I love a hot dog in NYC and a taco in Mexico from the street vendors.

Depends where I am. If I'm in a town I'll have a pub meal but in nicer locations I'll get street food and eat on a bench
I have recently discovered "food trucks". I never really thought to go to them before but there are some that I really like.
Support your local small businesses. Street food more authentic
Both, I prefer a place where I can seat
I prefer to do the cooking myself.
