Our high school cafeteria sold food and I would eat a cheese burger every day and on rare occasions I would have a pop corn or flavoured ice pop if it was a special event. Once or twice a month, I would get chips from the vending machine.

  They sold the same food every day unless we were hosting charity fund raisers for people in which case pop corn or flavoured ice pops would get sold.

Yea I didn't hate school food actually. I really liked the French toast sticks they served for breakfast!! And the mashed potatoes and gravy for Thanksgiving :)

Chicken nuggets, the rolls 😩, and then the cookies and brownies. Actually all the desserts ngl. A lot of the breakfast was really good too. But the turkey/ham Thanksgiving meals sucked lmao

  @sage2021 I was the technology director for a k-12 school system. The lady that ran the cafeteria used to give me a bag of the best chocolate chip, cookies i ever had when I would help her with her computer. My kids used to fight over them, they were the best.

This going back to 1986 - 1991 was the bomb! There was one time a vote was cast for favorite meal and of course almost everyone went pizza. It was shit ass sausage with plastic cheese. Slightly better than pizzaburger or sloppy joe.
