Strange you should ask, I am sitting at my desktop, and about to ask about the "Food Value of the Avocado as I do like and eat a lot of them. I do try to eat fruits, (oranges, grapes, cherries (in season) and also try to get enough vegetables, but don't always do that. I grate carrots, and use cherry tomatoes in grated cabbage
Looking through the list, on the Runners World page, I do eat many of those things, but do for the most part do not eat nuts. Bell pepper, baby spinach, and those things I do eat. Good selection of foods there.

I actually enjoy better vegetables broccoli, cauliflower, beet, turnips, parsnips and cabbage.
Bananas.
So basically what i do is 15 minute before a workout i hydrate myself with 24 ounces of water. The purpose of this is to have less water breaks during practice.
Drinking a lot of water thid soon before aerobic exercises can cause cramping. So to prevent that, i eat a banana.
All the potassium, magnesium and calcium are 3 of the 4 nutrients that can help for cramp prevention

I love all kinds of fruits and veggies that I can get my hands on. Fresh from the farm/garden.
carrots, spinach, sweet potatoes, swish chard, string beans, all kinds of melons.

I don't agree with some, but that's just my opinion. Also they forgot some very important ones. One of them being blueberries! 😱My first choice would be chocolate, of course.
I like liver. That is supposed to be pretty high in vitamin A. All you need is a mouthful if you don't like it too much.

Peanut butter English muffins, apples, and bananas for healthy snacks. Salmon and eggs for dinner.
Some not so superfoods but guilty pleasure snacks: Smartfood popcorn, cheez-its, and goldfish.
