I now know of two ways. The cheap way is to fry some hamburger and then add this pack of noodles and cheese to it with milk and water, stir it around and let it cook the liquid away for about half an hour.
The real way is as follows:
Break up a bunch of hamburger into a skillet and cook it. Once this is done, get a Styrofoam tray and a couple sheets of paper towel on it and scoop the meat out into that to blot away as much of the excess grease as possible. Pour the rest of the grease in the skillet into an empty can. It's just garbage so, you're going to eventually throw the can away.
While you're doing all of this, you can make a pot of cheese & mac the way you normally would. When it's done, you add the meat and stir that around and then pour in about 1/3 to 1/2 of a large bottle of tomato juice or 1/2 to 2/3 of a large can and mix that around, let it cook in the pot a bit longer with the lid on stirring once in a while.
When this is done (about 10:00, if that), serve and eat. OR, wipe out the grease from the skillet and melt about half a stick of butter in it and then scoop in about half the pot (the whole pot, if it'll all fit and if you're going to eat it all in one sitting), put a lid on and let it fry like that for a few minutes, flip it over and fry the other side.
If you want to take the time to do so, you can also get a can of Treet or Spam, and grate half of it and mix that in with the meat before you even start the entire process.
I have done scratch and box if box I just follow the box.
I use beef bullion, flour, salt, pepper, a splash of water, cream, sliced mushrooms, chopped onion, minced garlic, steak strips, and I do add cream cheese at the end.
I ladle that over wide egg noodles.
Thank you for the MHO โค
Gordon Ramsey will yet that thing out of the fucking window. As a chef this insults me 😂
