You can make it from powder or just open a can/carton of ready made stuff. Of course you can cook it from scratch with eggs cream and sugar but that's more expensive.
So how do you make custard?

I'm no stranger to custard. I know the rules of making a good batch. First you commit yourself by by combining 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 2 cups of milk in a bowl.
Then put a whisk in each hand to get it good and fluffy.

Whisk the ingredients until everything is fully combined. Pour the mixture over medium-low heat in a saucepan, stirring occasionally.
I just wanna tell you how I"m feeling about this next step. I've got to make you understand that not everyone does, this but I heat mine up on a floppotron.

Don't know, only ate the bastards, but I just love custards, puddings and all sweet stuff, I could eat you whole little Pop's. I'd eat you like my Racoons, they eat a chicken whole, I mean even the fathers, claws and beak, nothing is left. Man, my garbage is like office garbage, only papers and plastic bags.
I used to make my own, but over time I've become lazy in either buying the powder or the readymade in a tin... Shame on me, as my mother keeps telling me!
We buy our custards cause our Chinese super markets charge $1.99 each. But they are small you need at least another 450 calories to fill you up.

From scratch. I make custard with addition of corn starch excursively for strawberry jelly tart.
I use the transport method, bike down to the local bakery and purchase it. Loving, Portuguese Custard Tarts.
