I have a friend in Romania who I met while she was doing some modeling. I talk to her quite a bit and learned from her that Romanians are crazy about having cheese pies as snacks.
Not something we do in the States, so I decided to make some. As it turns out, they are super quick and easy and really make great snacks. However, my Romanian friend seemed shocked that I use grated cheese from a bag. The traditional recipe calls for 'farmers cheese' whatever the fuck that is.
First, cut up some puff pastry sheets into these little squares. Make a mixture of cheese, egg, green onion, garlic powder, some spinach. You can even use nutella and deep fry these bad boys.
The fun part, fold the squares into triangles and press the edge with a fork. Throw them in the over about 10 minutes.
