I'm thinking about doing it again just for fun. But have you ever made cheese.

Trending & News No but I want to learn how i was watching something on YouTube and most cheeses have wood shavings in it. I dont and will never eat at McDonald's but if you get a hamburger burger there take the cheese off and try to melt it. Real cheese will melt there cheese turns black because it has plastic and saw dust in it
I wouldn't eat 1 of their hamburgers either. They say that they serve over seven million a day , there's not that many cows in this world to be able to do that so who knows what you're eating at? Mcdonald's
Generally cows for eating are slaughtered at 20-30 months. But dairy cows last 4 to 6 years after that they're immune systems plummet. By that age they're too tough for steaks, often have diseases like Johnes, or TB so either end up as dog food or burgers. Let's just say the quality standards for the dog food industry are probably higher
We made cottage cheese as part of a biology lab experiment in high school, right after we made wine by learning about yeast and fermentation.
Mum cheesy wine
we once whisked milk for a really long time together in 2nd grade. it first became foamy, then turned creamy and eventually you could see tiny little butter chunks forming. someone claimed that if we went on for days that we'd get cheese, but i dont think that's right. on the other hand, there are many weird types of cheese. maybe one of the cream cheeses? mozzarella? the hard ones are salty, so it's not possible for it to be that easy. so likely no.
No. I don't think with milk from grocery store something useful is possible to produce, maybe with unskimmed milk from hay fed cows and equipment to keep precise temperature, acceptable cottage cheese is doable.
Indeed, I've tried my hand at making cheese. It's a rewarding process that connects you deeply to the culinary world. One memorable experience was making ricotta with fresh milk. Watching the curds form felt almost magical, and the taste was nothing short of pure delight. Homemade cheese always has a unique charm, and the freshness is unmatched. The satisfaction of creating something so traditionally crafted is unparalleled. 🧀

Oh yes but just the easier cheeses and we used to make it from our own cows milk too! 🐄 And we've made goat cheese too but I don't really like it quite as well.
I haven’t made cheese but I gave it serious consideration. There are kits on Amazon to make cheeses. I was thinking about make mozzarella during my pizza making phase but perhaps in the future I will.
I’ve never made cheese in my life. Would you like to teach somebody like me to do it?
Cream cheese is just equal parts cream and milk. Throw in yogurt too if you fancy. Warm and add rennet or lemon juice and once set drain through a cloth over night.
Yeah I have but not hard cheeses and only when I had access to a dairy farm.
Well you're a farmer, so you could diversify and sell it on your farm. Little business tip for you.
As for me. Can't be arsed. Will just buy it from Morrisons.
My mother and I made lots of butter. But never continued to the cheese part. She said as a kid. That she made “ Smear Case.” At least that’s how it sounded. Said she would never do it again!
Though, I have “cut the cheese!”
Mozzarella. And lots of it. I have a secret couple locations for getting the best curd
I helped my parents make it. It usually ended up hard as Parmesan, even though they weren't supposed to. :)
A few times indeed I made cheese by first adding a little lemon to milk to make it curd.
My 2nd girlfriend used to make cheese every time she wore her shoes without socks.
