For Those who use Ketchup with Your Fries?

BOTH. I smother them with ketchup, while making a little puddle to dip the ones I didn't fully cover with ketchup as well-

Smothering them makes them smoother! Dipping is just time wasted. The key is to not cover every fry, just 80-90% of them. In case you want some non-ketchup ones for a break.

I dip them for better flavour and easier to clean up may fingers after wards. I actually like to use tartar sauce for my fries. When I get fish and chips, I use the ketchup for the fish and the tartar sauce for the fries.
