What kind of diet do you favor? Do you follow the same kind of diet consistently, and does it help you meet your health/fitness goals?

I have not looked into what is considered a "Mediterranean diet", but I do favor, a diet that consists more of protein, as opposed to carbohydrates, in that i TRY, to avoid, those foods based on starches, sugars, salt, et cetera.

I tend to stick to the following: First I dropped alcohol, (wine) of which i had previously drank on a daily basis with meals. I enjoy avocados, yogurt, boneless skinless, chicken beasts, (at times baked chicken) trout, mixed salads, including tomatoes, baby spinach. Since dropping alcohol, I tend to drink sparkling, flavored water, (36 ounces daily) That said, NOT each and every one of those food groups daily but intermittently, as I TRY to have each of those foods available for consumption.

I belong to a good, "hard Yoga' studio that leaves most of us work hard the entire session.

How does your daily regimen compare especially with regard to the FOODS you enjoy?

Can anyone advise what is considered to be a Mediterranean diet?
