Only thing I’d care about is if fruits are involved. I don’t like my fruits touching salty things or meats.
Food touching is fine but overlapping depends on what the combination is. I never really thought about it (NOW I will every time!!)
depends on the dish. a full English breakfast is fine to overlap. but like overlapping a fried egg with like a nutella sandwich is weird. or like slami overlapping marmelade.

Sausage and beans don't seem bad to overlap. It's just like how syrup can be on eggs, bacon, sausage links, and pancakes.
