They're all great if you have an open mind and like different things. Honestly, I think it comes down to whether you prefer dry rub or a sauce-based BBQ. I love both for different reasons, and several states make amazing versions of both.

Wow. This is really a difficult question to answer with any confidence. Can I take a BBQ tour of the south, hit every state, and then come back and try to answer? All southern BBQ is just.. wonderful!
