Oh, definitely. There's a pizza place a couple of miles from me that isn't part of a chain and I tell everyone it's the best pizza you will ever taste, and then they don't believe me, but when they try it, they will buy a tray of it and then say, "You were right"
I cannot believe this place has never formed a chain. They would be bigger than pizza hut and dominos put together! The cheese is always fresh, the sauce is flavorful, and the crust is perfect, and has a flavorful taste.
I think their trick is, they make everything fresh right there. Nothing comes pre-mixed or from a box, Fresh dough, and fresh sauce upon ordering. On Friday's and Saturdays, they get so busy, they give customers a number, and they don't whatever customer called in first. It's whatever customer shows up first.
They don't deliver because they like to serve it fresh and hot. Local places definitely taste better, well, some anyway

As for me I like real pizza where the dough is hand tossed & the ingredients are fresh & the pizza gets cooked in an actual pizza oven or brick oven. On the flip side I’ll pass on conveyor belt bullshit that takes five minute to cook & costs $7.99 with a free soda & comes from a chain.
I like mom and pop shops once in a while but regular shopping is with a big chain because the big chains are designed for repeat customers so you never get sick of their flavour.
nah, dominos will always be my favorite. i just can't find a comparison. but that's just me

Personally there's a couple restaurants in the area that have really good pizzas that aren't in a food chain but they're also very expensive and if you can't afford the expensive then you look for the chain brand like Domino's or Papa John's to get a pizza.
We had a family owned pizza place in Costa Mesa when I used to go running. It was called Donatellies, Pizza and the man that owned it was a Baritone, and at Christmas time he would come out of the kitchen and sing Christmas songs and hymns,,,,,,,,,,, and the PIZZA was the best of any I ever ate.
In general yes. Pizza Hut, Domino's, Papa John's, and Little Caesar's are all crap in my opinion. I like Ian's, which is a chain but a small one. In the Seattle area we have Pagliacci. That's better than the national chains.
Depends on where you are. If it’s made by an Italian/Greek family restaurant, it’s probably good
In my country the national chains are better then the foreign ones and *usually* also better then the local pizzerias in my experience.
I prefer them. They typically use better ingredients and include more toppings because they want you to come back. Chains tend to be chintzy.
They seem to be. The chains have a standard menu and buy ingredients in bulk. Local places add diversity and their food is often better quality. Find a local place with seating for under 10 tops and you often will see a crowd waiting outside
Depends, a fave of mine is I Fratelli. Pretty big company but franchised. Marcos is also good. Another franchise.
But the popular a service gets…the crappier the service they give. Can’t get around that. Unfort.Only when it's fresh and they have a good business going. Otherwise, the chains are more reliable for getting something decent.
Some. Depends on the place. There is one here that is really good. Then there's another I will never buy from again. Lol

Yes, of course homemade pizza places are the best especially if they are New York style or Chicago deep dish
in our area yes, most defiantly.
Pizza is highly subjective as to what people like.Yes, Pizza Station is a pretty good Pizza joint.
I think so, they have the latitude to make adjustments and the ingredients are generally fresher
Big time better! It is the local joints that wins best pizza awards. Have a local chain here that has won best pizza in the USA many times.
I don't think so. I grew up with Pizza Hut and I think they make the best Pizza.
They can be yeah, but its not the bigger percentage by far.
In my area, yes! 🙂
Yes I like smaller ones that are local
I definitely think so.
