When Having A Bake potato?

Do You eat the skin with it or just the inside? For me if I make it at home i’ll eat the skin. If get out I won't eat the skin.

As for me I make potatoes in my air fryer & when I make baked sweet potatoes after I cut the potatoes in half they slide out of the skin so I usually discard the skin. On the flip side if I make roasted potatoes, fries or smashed potatoes I leave the skin on.

I’ll wash it with water, then stab it with the point tip of the knife blade making pressure relief areas. Then I’ll wrap it with plastic wrap and then hit the potato setting on the microwave. Then I’ll unwrap it and peel it and apply butter 👍🙂

I heard the skin is very healthy if you can find one that isn't damaged and the potatoes I have are usually too risky to eat that way cause they are not bought from farmers that use special modifications to remove hazardous material on the outside skin.

I just eat the inside

I grill russet on the BBQ until the skin is crispy then mash butter into the inside add a little salt & pepper and scoop out the creamy inside and eat that the add a bit mire butter fold it and eat the crispy skin. So good.

I always eat the skin. I love it. Maybe it's because I come from a long line of Irish. LOL
And I figure it has been baked long enough for the inside to be soft, so any germs are dead. Besides, I'm not a germophobe.

I always eat the skin. It's so tasty and that's where most of the nutrients are. Why won't you eat the skin outside of making it at home?

Skin is nutritious too I guess. Just be sure to wash any dirt or other residues off before cooking.
