Textures need to be somewhat congruent... which is why I hate steak pizzas. Big ole slab of chewy meat on top of tender bread. Not a pleasure to eat. If crocodile is any similar to alligator, I'll pass on that.

Tiny rant on pineapple... bro, just caramelize it first. THATS WHY PEOPLE DON'T LIKE IT ON PIZZA! Sugar, brown, toss pineapple chunks in, cook down, put on pizza (shred it slightly so that it doesn't look like straight Dole Pineapple Chunks from a can), with pulled pork/Canadian bacon, smoked onions, balsamic reduction, red sauce, mozzarella cheese. Whip your meat out and helicopter it because thats how good Hawaiian pizza CAN be.

there's nothing that does not "belong" on a pizza. a pizza is a poor mans food meant to use leftovers. so everything belongs on it.

The entire concept of pizza doesn't belong. It's NOT Italian, it's American "Italian" concocted by Americans of Italian ancestry who had to make do with the ingredients, cooking, etc found in America and inability to retain their authentic Italian cuisine.

Pizza is something you'll almost NEVER find amongst authentic restaurants that do not bother to cater to foreigners in Italy.

Just as how many other "Italian" foods are American not Italian. Chicken parmesan is something you'll almost never find in Italian restaurants what when it's not even Italian, it's roots are German-French that was found in some Italian cities from immigrants.

They are real, eel and corn are toppings in Japan, broccoli, anchovies, and pineapple are popular in the west, crocodile is a topping in australia, and peas are a topping in Brazil

Wow, I thought I’d traveled the world. Obviously I haven’t had pizza everywhere I’ve been.

Funny story. I’m in Germany. It’s late on a Sunday afternoon and most of the town is closed up.. I’m hungry. I see a little pizzeria.. I don’t speak any German, but I think to myself that how can you possibly mess up pizza? I sit down. I look at the menu and everything is in German.. I understand nothing. So I just point to one on the menu. The waiter asked me. Are you sure?
For some reason, I got a little indignant and said of course. I’m thinking that myself. How could you possibly mess up pizza?
And a Coke.
He comes back, basically with a cheese pizza and a big fat snail in the middle of each slice. He smirks and walks away.

Funny but years ago I was looking to order some exotic meat on the internet. The site that I looked at actually had crocodile and alligator available. I jokingly asked a guy at work if he wanted to go in 50/50 for some crocodile. He said that his wife didn't like it and preferred alligator. I have no idea where they even tried those, if ever... LOL
