Where does ketchup belong?

Ketchup with me is kept in my Fridge, but if you came to America, and visited our Eat n Park restaurant you will see that they store their ketchup on the tables where people eat at, and they never put them in the fridge. This makes me wonder if the expiration date of the ketchup expires sooner.

If you go through it in a few weeks, there's enough preservatives in it to keep it from spoiling at room temperature. If you take months to finish a bottle, definitely refrigerate it, especially if it contains no preservatives.

Once the seal is open and oxygen pours into the bottle it's better to keep ketchup in fridge to avoid slow down development of yeast and bacteria.

They say you don't have to refrigerate ketchup but that is where I keep mine.
