I don't. I don't like ketchup by itself, or mayonnaise. I like a tiny bit of them on a few things, or use them to make other things. Or mix them together to dip fries in. But otherwise, not a big fan. I'm picky about condiments. RANCH on the other hand, I eat on a lot of things, lol.

because it's yummy? I do use ketchup on like everything roflmao I'm pretty sure that's not very healthy xD I like tomatoes too though. So like I like tomatoes on grilled cheese but if I don't have that I'll put ketchup on it... that sounds really gross wow lol

It just tastes better with ketchup lol. I guess it just depends on what people's preferences are, because I'm pretty sure not all Americans put ketchup and/or mayo on their food.

We use a lot of ketchup/mustard/mayonnaise/tabasco sauce because it tastes good.

Because ketchup is yummy? I put ketchup (or BBQ sauce) on everything, and I'm not American.

But the thing is (and I think that's what the question is actually about) that ketchup and mayo only goes well with certain kinds of food (like fries, burgers, etc.), and I think she wondered why so many people put it also on "normal" food that isn't junk food. I mean, like putting ketchup on noodles...yuck.
