Would you eat at a restaraunt who received a food inspection rating of 'B'?

Sometimes ill find a restaurant with this rating. Always makes me a little curious about why its not an A? is there something thats unsafe or unclean here? hmmm

I wouldn’t be worried cause I've learned that ALL restaurants are a little gross lol. I’ve worked fast food and I currently work in a chain restaurant.

I’ve never worked somewhere that was completely shiny and clean.
I’ve had to scrape off crust from dishes before serving them, to mold in the soda and ice machines. We even had a cockroach problem at one point.

and we’re actually a lot cleaner than most restaurants.. I haven’t worked in others but my coworkers have and they say we’re the cleanest restaurant they’ve worked at.

usually we have notice before an inspection and that’s when we’ll do a big deep cleaning. Or even when we have a surprise visit, our manager will distract them while we clean certain things up real quick lol

So we’ve yet to fail anything. But if they saw everything, then yeah we’d probably get a B rating too.
What I will say though is that my restaurant is careful with food safety so I’m not worried about the quality of our food. I still eat there despite what I’ve seen.

Really depends on why they received the rating, like if it was due to a particular employee (who was let go), or equipment that just happen breakdown on the day of inspection, I could possibly over look the B rating, but if it was due to months old rat droppings everywhere, I'm not eating there.

It runs from 5 to 0 in the UK and the 0's usually make the local news. I'm assuming a B is equal to our 4, it doesn't necessarily mean unhygienic it could just be a technicality like not having training records filled out properly.

A good guide is to look at the state of the windows. If they can't be arsed to keep the glass and window sills clean at the front then what's the state of the parts you can't see.

Yes, cos B in our country is still very clean and A is like unbelievably clean. Lol. I sometimes eat at C too cos they still look reasonably clean to me plus the C ones here are usually the ones that taste the best and the cheapest. Lollll.

Sometimes when people have to wait to be served longer times and the places are short staff, that is why I like people grade them places differently.
