I get you were trying to be nice to the neighbors doggo, but giving away food your sister made you is kinda disrespectful ngl.

Like I know you were fasting and all, but she went through the effort of cooking for you. The least you could've done is told her thanks but you can't eat it right now 'cause of your fast or whatever. Then put it in the fridge for later or something.

Just straight up giving it away without even talking to her about it first is kinda an a-hole move. Now she's probably wondering why you didn't eat what she cooked special.

I'd say apologize and explain your fasting deal, but also that you shoulda told her instead of dumping the food. In the future just be straight with your fam - communication is key, feel me? No need to waste the food or hurt your sis's feelings. We gotta look out for each other!

So yeah, soft YTA here just for the disrespect. But easy fix - just say sorry and do better next time!

something like this happened to me yesterday. husband's aunt knows i'm vegetarian. she says she made soup and it has chicken in it. can you have chicken? i'm like... i said i can't have chicken... (don't know what vegetarian means to her but like... come on!) but i thanked her like the people pleaser i am and walked away. she was the rude one. not me

and it's certainly not my fault if she gets upset about it. it's been almost a decade since she's known this!

did you tell your sister you are fasting and you are serious about fasting? and did you tell her the food didn't go to waste and you made sure of that?
