What is your pizza order?

Question

Mine is a Margherita, add bacon and vegan cheese.  Or Pepperoni, jalapeno, pineapple (sue me!) And again vegan cheese.

My first job when I was 16 was at Pizza Nova as a pizza maker for 3 years. I experimented making so many pizzas. My favourite (this is not an every day pizza) was a pesto sauce tomato sauce base, mozzarella, chicken, small bacon strips, goat cheese, red onion, pineapple (if you like pineapple on pizza), Italian hot peppers... cook that and once it's out of the oven, top it with arugula and balsamic dressing.

My usual order is just a Hawaiian. Crispy bacon strips and pineapple with a jalapeno dip.

My "default" is pepperoni and Italian sausage. A frequent alternative is Hawaiian (ham and pineapple).

But I sometimes get into a mood for something different.

Ground beef and onions aka "hamburger pizza".
Sausage and pineapple (sounds weird, tastes great!)
Super meat (pepperoni, ham, sausage, linguica)
Chicken and pineapple.

Working at a pizza place - as I did in my early 20s - gives you lots of opportunity to experiment.

Depends on my mood. I maneuver through the following varieties:

Regular plain pie (sauce and cheese).

Sausage, extra cheese, extra sauce.

Meats (sausage, bacon, chicken, pepperoni, capicola, meatball).

Margherita plain pie.

In recent years a few pizza restaurants have added a Polynesian sauce pizza. This is my favorite. It's a sweet and spicy sauce with bacon ham or pepperoni.
