Do you think it is weird a restaurant would include a salad for takeout entrees but not dine-in?

I called and asked and they told me yes, and then in person the waiter said it's only for take-out. Uh, that is not what was specified on the phone. I feel like at an Italian restaurant you kind of expect bread and salad to come with your entree.

Us there a price difference? If not, then yeah that's weird. Any Italian restaurant I've been to always gives you complimentary fresh baked Italian bread but not necessarily complimentary salad with the entrée. Some salads are expensive to prepare such as a Cobb salad but chef's salad which is mostly just lettuce is inexpensive to make and often included with an entrée.

makes sense because take out you don't use their table n dishes to wash so less money, include salad to attract buyers, but eat in use those pay more, salad not included.
