Based on the scientific definition of air (those gases which make up Earth's atmosphere), if this NCBI article is correct about the physiology of taste (I reference it's "cellular level" section) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK557768/ , then I'll currently say only if any of the gases in some volume of Earth's atmosphere surrounding a functioning human body were to contain enough free H+ ions (sour), alkaloids (bitter), Na+ ions (salty), glutamate and/or some specific other amino acids (umami) to mix with saliva and reach the appropriate taste buds.

Maybe in a sense?
Not literally but I have a rather vivid imagination and might kind of conjure up a sense of taste when it's probably actually olfactory or visual.
Like on a rainy day, you can kind of taste the greens through the greys. Or smell it. Or maybe it's just the moisture in the air.
I think I just sort of confuse the senses a bit. Like the smell or taste of blue when it's actually a color.

  The taste of fire, for example, which to me isn't spicy. They often use pictures of fire for spicy foods and hot sauces. Yet to me the taste is more round, actually kind of mellow, like a warm cloud.

It depends. On a cold day I can taste the air a little or if it's raining, or if I'm by the lake and a breeze picks up. But other than that no.
