If it's not stuffed the crust is just a inconvenience which makes thin the 2nd best as that's the easiest to get through but eating just dry bread at the end is awful.

It depends on the place. Usually thin crust is my go-to, but hand-tossed is the way to go in a mom-and-pop pizzeria and pan crust/deep dish in Chicago.
