That’s the stuff that builds up in your cast iron skillet right?

If that's what you call your organ. Yes. Kinda sorta.

Where do I send the donations in lieu of flowers?
- 1 y
@dustybiker2 @charliefretz329
You're funny, dustybiker 2.
I think that you flirt with Charlie, too.
I think that Charlie flirts with you, too.
Which is fun for me to see you two guys flirting, at least that's what I think.
I'm getting old and I've had a heart attack where my heart stopped, and now I feel pretty weird all the time.
Charlie has been a really good friend of mine, so yeah, it's nice to see you guys having fun together.
I hope you don't mind me jumping in here and there sometimes.
But I like flowers.
I probably wouldn't see them if they're the kind of flowers I think you're talking about, being funny like I said you are, especially if they were donations instead of flowers, because donations don't look or smell like flowers.
Carnations might smell good, but I don't think donations, wait a minute, wouldn't carnations maybe smell like cars, and donations smell like dough, only which kind of dough, apple pie crust dough, or moolah dough, or Play-Doh?
Ha ha ha.
I think that I'm really weird right now.
But I think that my spelling is still pretty good, though.
I was always a pretty good spelling champ.
But spelling doesn't have anything to do with you two guys having fun, or Charlie and I having a good breakfast.
You could come along, and everybody would have a good time, I think.
Okay, have fun.
See you later.
- 1 y
Definitely not flirting lol just having fun
- 1 y
Plant a tree over my corpse. I’d be happy with that
- 1 y
@charliefretz329 @dustybiker2
Okay.
I'm just imagining things, maybe, right now, because I think that my medicine is making me feel weird.
See you guys later. - 1 y
lol no worries
- 1 y
I don't know I like so many trees, but probably something that grows a long time and has a huge canopy like a live oak
- 1 y
@charliefretz329
I remember when my dad was buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in 1970.
He was only 42 and I was 11.
In the same week, they planted a tree right next to his grave.
He was buried right at the street end of the row of graves.
And then within a month or so, they also put a really nice bench and even a water fountain right there, too, so it was always easy to remember exactly where Dad's gravesite was located.
Now, Mom finally passed away last year at 98 years old and was buried with Dad.
The bench is long ago worn out and gone, the water fountain quit working years ago, and they finally took it out, too.
But the tree is still there, really big now, and it shades their resting place.
But you know what, I can't remember what kind of tree it is.
That made me cry.
I texted my sister.
She might know.
She didn't know, but I'll figure it out somehow.
It's been 54 years since that tree was first planted.
I'm sorry for maybe being too much of a downer.
I didn't mean to do that.
It's all okay, though, because we all take our turns at living and then moving on.
😊🙏❤️ - 1 y
It's nice to meet you properly @nolabels
Charlie and I have known each other some time too and I consider him one of my fav friends long outside of gag now too. And no we aren't flirting. I'm happily taken and his woman awaits him out there.
On the tree at your fathers grave see if you can take a satellite image of it on google maps, then run it through picture search. You can possibly find out what type of tree it is that way.
@charliefretz329 Live oak. Wise choice I would go with similar. - 1 y
@dustybiker2 @charliefretz329
It's nice to properly meet you, too, dustybiker2.
I like the live oak idea, also
I should alert you to the fact that I can sometimes be very verbose in my writing.
Charlie knows all about that.
We help each other because we're friends, right Charlie?
I've looked at my parents' gravesite on Google Earth, but when I zoom in, it gets really pixelated, but maybe your idea of image search might work.
So, thank you.
It was kind of you to offer the idea.
I don't drive anymore, so it's hard for me to get to the cemetery, but I have other siblings who might know what kind of tree it is.
Both of you guys are very nice.
That's nice to have friends here who are so nice to each other.
Okay, I'll see you guys somewhere on here.
I was going to tell a joke here in closing, but it's kind of an inside joke, so it probably wouldn't be funny to both of you guys.
In fact, it might be so inside that Charlie wouldn't even get it until I give him a punch line to a straight line that he gave to me on another question on G@G.
If I can find that question again, I'll see if I can make a joke there for both of you guys, and maybe it'll be funny.
Or maybe not.
You never know if you're funny until you try, I guess.
- 1 y
@dustybiker2 @charliefretz329
P. S. - I see that you said that you and Charlie are friends outside of GAG, too.
I don't want to be a buttinsky, but since my cardiac arrest heart attack and my wife's brain cancer and other traumatic stuff happening in my life, I'm finding that I'm lonelier than I've ever been, so to have friends elsewhere would be cool, if you guys think that I might fit in elsewhere where you guys are friends, too.
I'm just throwing that out there.
Maybe if you get to know me better after a while.
I'm getting too old to be shy about asking for friends and for help.
Since you seem so nice, I didn't feel hesitant in bringing up the subject.
I'm feeling pretty vulnerable and kind of weird right now, maybe from medicine, too, so, yeah, friends are good to have.
I hope I haven't been too forward, possibly jeopardizing a new friendship, but like I kind of already said, people can't get what they want unless they ask for it.
Maybe where you guys know each other from might have nothing to do with me, so I would understand that completely.
So, yes, it has been very nice meeting you. - 1 y
