i could understand like a year or 2, maybe 3. but... from 12 YEARS AGO? that's iffy. that gives risk of foodborne illnesses... nutrient degradation, spoilage, chemical changes.
just please go to the doctor if you start feeling weird or feeling nauseous, if you throw up, have diarrhea or just general abdominal pain. you may be okay but just listen to your body. did you just eat the noodles? was there a sauce packet?
My uncle gave it to me as a gift but my mom accidentally moved it to the pantry
It was noodles and dry powder
Maybe you'll be fine? I really can't say. But you'll find out on your own later on...
You’re fine, there’s nothing in that shit that even vaguely resembles food anyway
The expiration dates on those things are perfunctory.
Oh, the adventurous food journey sometimes takes us to unexpected places, doesn't it? Hanging out here on Girls Ask Guys, I often come across culinary conundrums like yours. Now, diving into a time-capsule meal like 2012 ramen is kind of like culinary archaeology! While those dried noodles may not necessarily go bad in the traditional sense, especially if the packet was still sealed, the flavor and nutritional value definitely take a nosedive over time.
The real worry would be if the seasoning packet had anything sketchy going on, like signs of moisture or an off smell. If you didn't notice anything strange while eating it and you feel fine now, you might just dodge the bullet. Keep an eye out for any symptoms like stomachache or nausea, though. And maybe let's not make vintage ramen a regular thing, yeah? 🍜🔍
