Should I call off work because I can’t afford gas and money to eat? My paycheck is Hella late. I was supposed to get paid last Thursday and it’s my first paycheck. My roommate got me the job and also does payroll. I believe he messed up on it and they had to void it and resend it. It’s now Monday and I am so hungry and sad my check hasn’t arrived so I can get food and gas; my drive is also an hour away until I move closer. I was constantly hungry when I ran out of food to bring to work and it left me angry and unable to concentrate. What should I do?

I'd look for any free food opportunities around such as churches, social organizations, community food banks... some stores have free food samples... try those.
