Do you think selling homemade cookies at a festival would be a good idea?

My town is having a BBQ festival on the 14th of September. I am considering setting up as a craft vendor (Baking is a craft, right?) and selling homemade cookies (chocolate chip and peanut butter) at $1 per cookie or 4 for $3 or 5 for $4. I want to do it, but my roommate does have reservations such as: will people buy it? Will we make enough money? I mean, it can't hurt to try right?
