What's the pie?

Following on to last weeks "What's in the cup?" Question, we now head to the equally pointless "What's the pie?"

There are two similar pies, which consist of minced meat in gravy covered with mashed potato, cottage pie (beef), and shepherd's pie (lamb). I don't bother piping tiles or patterns because I'm too lazy, so that's not a clue.

Although they're two different pies they look the same in most photos which leads to confusion. So have a guess, is it a cottage or shepherd's pie?

As a foreigner, and not educated in the finer details, I'll just call it a pie.

And I'm sure that I will like it. And my dogs as well - they have a good taste - same as me :)

The meat shown makes me think that it's lamb?

Pictures indeed can not show the taste of a dish. That won't change that it's still a delicious one.
