Do you like a big sausage?

Sausages come in all sizes, from little chipolatas, curly Cumberlands, to jumbo sausages. Some are smooth but I prefer a more meaty texture for a better mouthfeel. Toulouse sausage isn't easy to get hold of here but it's one of my favourites. You've got to pay a little extra because with cheap sausage you'll end up swallowing gristley bits.

So when it comes to sausage does size matter?

Only the small to mid ones, and yes not the really low cost ones because they taste like... Salt. That spiralling saucisse de Toulouse is a good one, I love it ! Although I don't live in this region, so no real access.

My favorites remain the tandem Chipolata + Merguez, when combining them in the same meal? OMG, it tastes like paradise, I abstain often though, otherwise I would quickly turn into a balloon. Especially in the belly region, so... I love sausages yes, but let's stay reasonable please.

I actually prefer the smaller ones. And in fact there is a cheaper supermarket brand sausage that is the best. More expensive ones I have found, like Cumberland, have the yukky grissle bits in.

And cocktail sausages are great too!
