You serious Poppy? Brussel sprouts the best about Christmas? I guess you must have been drunk when tasting them "sprouts"... Brussel's sprouts are exactly what I'll avoid as much as possible ! Not to mention I'm precisely from Brussels... I get cold shivers from horror by the plain thought of Brussel sprout ketchup ! No offense meant mind ;0)

Did you know they've bred the bitterness out of sprouts over the last few decades? They don't taste the same.

@goaded It's not bitterness the problem. I like many forms of cabbage, with the biggest exception when it comes to them sprouts ! The latter have a particular smell and taste that I can't help but deeply dislike...

Aubergines have not much taste themselves, which is an advantage in some aspects because of them being vegetables prone to take in the taste of well chosen spices.

Brussel sprouts are one of my favorite vegetables, but I never used them for ketchup, or with ketchup. It doesn't fit.
