How do you like your sauce?

If a meal comes with a sauce how do you like it served?

This largely would depend on the kind of dish meant. Sometimes little containers, as with Indian dishes. With chips I like the sauce to cover them, which may be mayonnaise, tartar, samurai, or even mustard. Having the sauce on the plate's side is only practical when the sauce is not too liquid. Case sensitive ;0)

I will never understand the European obsession with putting any kind of sauce on your French fries except for ketchup. Use ketchup like a normal person!

"Little containers". Some sauces belongs of fries but are a culinary abomination of Schnitzel and vice versa. That's why I prefer to use dipping bowls. Amount of dirty dishes doesn't really matter since most people use dishwashers.

Little containers. I want full control on how much sauce i want. A lot of times, I try the food without the sauce first to know what it originally taste like without just to have a different perspective with the food.

Almost always on the side of the dish in containers. I'd rather dip my fries in gravy than have them covered in it, the top layer getting soggy and the bottom not getting much at all.
