:Indoor over can only go high as 500F degree, which is still minimum heat to make pizza.
: Other reason is that dough, water and flour ratio is wrong. Best water ratio is 60% - 70%.

Trending & News I've never been able to master it. I'm a pretty good cook, but it just goes right out the window when I try to do pizza at home. So I'd like to know the secret, especially about how to do a good crust, if anyone cares to share?
@Caroline91 so you fail in crust?
i can help in that
@Caroline91
hydration level needs to be between 60% and 65%.
and what is the heat temp you use?
@Caroline91 and temp has to be high as your oven can be.
high temp makes crusty pizza, Or krusty krab pizza lol
@Caroline91
example: 100gram of flour + 65gram of water
@Caroline91 if oven can go above 425F its good,
even if oven reaches high temp, best is to let it heat the pizza rack or stone for 10-20 minutes before you put pizza of the rock
@Caroline91 70% water would be ok too.
but high heat is the major issue.
@Caroline91
500F Is good.
pizza stone should stay in oven, not to be removed.
slide the pizza on oven as its done in brick oven.
@Caroline91
let me know how it goes.
You have to use bread flour to make your pizza dough not all purpose flour. Bread flour has higher protein content which makes it more stretchy/chewy and more structured. After you make it, you should put it in the fridge over night to make a pizza the next day. Another tip would be to brush olive oil on it to give it a better sheen and to keep the bread in the crust soft. Cook at high heat. At 480 F you cook a pizza for about 13 minutes at 500 F it's about 10-11 minutes. At 550 F it's about 7-8 minutes.
@malarkey Thank you!
I make pizzas from scratch, the base included, and I don't mind saying, it blows away any shop-bought pizza.
@Nikki1989 Is it special type of pizza with special topping?
@Nikki1989
Does your girlfriend make pizza too?
@Nikki1989
Nice to hear that

As for me I love pizza & when it comes to pizza temperature is one of the keys & unfortunately my oven doesn’t go up to the temperature I would like it to go up to so I pick up the phone & call my local mom & pop pizza shop & order.
In the photo above is an Ooni pizza oven & it goes up to 900 degrees Fahrenheit & you can have a pizza in 50 seconds. Down the road I plan on getting one.
Notice that only two pinks answered this question and all the rest were guys?
I believe that a man that knows how to cook is very masculine!!
I was married to a cook and I just loved him making masterpieces! He was a fantastic cook!
I loved his linguini in clam sauce the best! He was Italian 🙂 and very handsome on top of being a great cook. Yeeeya!!
I can but I haven't made one from scratch in years.
@purplepoppy
Did you ever use lamb meat as topping?
Can't say I have but kebab houses often do kebab pizzas which of course is lamb. Shredded lamb belly could work if kept hot.
@purplepoppy
True and are awesome
I do, that's actually probably what I will make today. I already have pizza dough in the fridge... Either that or some sort of potato soup because I have a bag of potatoes I have to get rid of before they rot...
I hate cooking but if I really put myself into the craft and follow a recipe, I should be alright.
I can and do. I have a cast iron pizza pan I use, gives a nice crust that's crispy on the bottom and soft in the middle. Sometimes times I make pizza dough from scratch, but usually I use store bought since it's cheaper.
No point Chicago town pizza is the best. The small ones are cheap, and taste great. And they take 4mins in a microwave convenient. Also they don't cheap out on toppings the pepperoni ones always have good amount if not to much actually lol.
I make pizza at home regularly, and you do not need a pizza oven to make them, or a pizza stone, they would help but you don’t need one.
Haven’t done it in a while, but I’m pretty sure if I try I got it.
I haven't made homemade pizza in a while, but i love to =)
From scratch at home is the only pizza I eat.
I make great pizza and my oven goes to 500 I think it has less to do with how high your oven goes and more about using fresh to quality ingredients
🙋🏻♂️
But only when I have enough time to do it.
@Kelly6 Never tried, but would give it a try.
My wife and I love pizza. But we leave its preparation to the experts.
I can. I have a great wood fired pizza oven that I use to achieve the desired result.
Well by the Crust from a Supermarket and ad our topping etc.
I can! I can!! Except that I don't have an oven.
I make great pizza at home and I have a pizza oven that will use gas. Electric or wood to do the cooking I prefer Woodfired with a pizza stone.
I do though I use pita bread use sauce, cheese grilled chicken.
I can. It's my secret recipe. People love the pizza that I can make and wanna keep it that way.
I don't know but ill have one if anyone would like to feed me
Oh yeah I can only eat Gods word
I can. I haven't done it recently, but it used to be a weekly event for me.
On the BBQ is the key!!
