Restaurant made me the wrong sandwich?

So I go to the same place regularly and order the same 3 or 4 things. Usually if I get a sandwich, I'll get a cold cut. This time I asked for an Italian and the lady that took my order rang up an Italian, then they made me my usual cold cut. I guess guy who made my sandwich just thought it was the usual thing even though I repeated it twice 🤷 what is it with people, do they just go around on autopilot all day with their ears closed? Then it's like what are you gonna do, tell them to make another sandwich or just eat the wrong one I already paid for? Guess next time I'll try it again and clarify better, but next time they'll make it again. Should I have spoken up this first time? Opinions? keep in mind I go here all the time, so I didn't want to seem lime I was upset with them. Not sire how this whole thing got bolded

if... the wrong order is something I do not dislike, I'll just have it because I know they will trash and waste the one they made, I don't like that

but if the order has something I do not like, like... avocado, then screw it... trash that thing and get me the right one...

Yes, people go on autopilot, that is nothing out of the ordinary.

If I like the sandwich (like you clearly do with always ordering it), I'd take it, thank them and eat it, however I'd kindly tell the worker that next time I'd like to get what I ordered, since this was not it.

And tbh, if they'd make an issue out of me simply telling them that they got the order wrong, I'd probably not be going there again anytime soon.

Honestly, I would’ve just left the establishment. I hate it when people don’t listen to me, especially when I have to repeat myself. Sorry that that happened.

So, you let them make the incorrect sandwich and you paid for it? It must’ve not bothered you that much. If I really wanted another sandwich, I would’ve kept telling them until they got it right. I would’ve annoyed the HECK out of them until they made the correct sandwich. If not, I would’ve walked out without a word or them getting my money for a sandwich I didn’t want that day. Anyway, just me. 🤷🏽‍♀️

That's why I let it go. Funny how others have a different opinion on this. They're forgetting I go here fairly often and chit chat with these people everytime I go. No need to be a dick and have them throw out a perfectly good sandwich

I told three of them. The only one who didn't get the memo was the actual guy who made the sandwich. I even told the guy who made it afterwards and he thought I meant Italian dressing. 🙄
