I assume chocolate chip would be closest. Usually I get prepackaged ice cream like mars ice cream. If I am not getting anything prepackaged soft ice is more common than scooped ice in the places I visit. So then it would be soft ice with choco dip. Chocodip done well they put liquid chocolate on vanilla soft ice which then instantly becomes solid due to the coldness. Chocodip done worse would be choclate sprinkles.

I really like a good chocolate. But after having that for a week or two, my taste buds get a bit "bored" and have to be "re-educated" about the freshness of vanilla ice cream or orange sherbet, just for a change of pace. Or, if I have a spare $6-7 laying around, I could have a "rainbow cone" which has 5 flavors, orange sherbet, pistachio, Palmer House, strawberry and (saving the best for last) chocolate!

I'm a little picky. Not all chocolate ice cream is made equal... I *love* a cinnamon ice cream I had a couple of years ago. THE best ever. Lemon Gelato is next. Peppermint fudge is third runner up.
